What are the returns terms and conditions?
If for any reasons, you are not completely satisfied with your order, you have 7 working days from the date you received your order to exchange or return. Day 1 is the day you receive the package. Please make sure your items are returned new, unused and with all Amami’s security tags still attached and unbroken. Returns that do not meet our policy will not be accepted and will be sent back to the customer. The following items are not eligible for return or exchange:
- All customised item sales are final and cannot be returned.
- All engraved (artistic work) items sales are final and cannot be returned.
- Loose diamonds with the correct certificate number inscribed on the girdle of the diamond as the picture of the certificate number is not refundable. To minimise the return of correct certificate number, we would send you pictures of the diamond and mutually agree upon on no return to prevent fraudulent refund before the item is shipped to you.
- Jewelleries that are hand delivered by Amami is not subject to return, once the jewelleries are being acknowledged and received by you.
To return an item, simply follow the procedures below:
- Email our customer service at info@amamijewels.com or contact our customer service at +6012-219-9876
- Advise us that you wish to return your order and inform us of your order number.
- Within a day, we will email you instructions on return including a Return Reference Number and instruction on how to safely and securely package your items.
- Please include ALL the original packaging including Amami’s security tag unbroken and additional materials including diamond grading certificate as replacing this certificate is costly and we therefore charge customers a penalty should a replacement be necessary.
- For security reasons, avoid writing “DIAMONDS” “GEMSTONES” “JEWELLERY” or “AMAMI JEWELS” anywhere on the outside of the box.
- For items with value less than RM10,000: you can return using any secure means, but we cannot accept responsibility for parcels lost in transit. We can offer advice on a reputable courier company for such return. You are responsible for the direct cost of returning the Goods to us and for the risk of any loss or damage to the goods while in transit. Rest assured, we are more than happy to assist you with any concern you may have on this. For item above RM10,000, please contact customer service for special arrangement.
- We honor all returns provided the following is adhered to:
a. The original security tag accompanies each piece of jewellery sold must not have been tampered with and must still be attached to the jewelleries returned
b. Return Reference Number in the parcel
c. Proof of purchase and ALL original documents are included in the returning items
d. Jewelleries that is sent back to us within the 7 working days of receiving your order.
Processing the Return
Upon receiving your returned item in its original condition with all accompanying documents and materials, the jewellery or diamonds will be inspected and weighed against its corresponding grading certificate (if any). Once the return conditions are met, we will inform you via email or phone call to inform on the refunding procedures. Your refund will then be processed in the next 4-5 days; however, it may take as long as 2 weeks, depending on your location and/or original payment method.
Improperly packaged item
Items sent to our office without a tracking number, packages shipped beyond the 7 working day return period, and packages that are improperly packaged will be refused a refund.
Damaged and Used Items
Returned merchandise must be undamaged and in “new and unused condition” with Amami’s security tag unbroken and untampered with. Items showing obvious signs of wear or alteration by a jeweller other than Amami will not be accepted.
Loose diamonds
Loose diamonds must be accompanied by the original laboratory grading report or a USD 200 charge will be levied to replace the certificate. Loose diamonds with the correct certificate number inscribed on the girdle of the diamond as the picture of the certificate number is not refundable. To minimize the return of correct certificate number, we would send you pictures of the diamond and mutually agreed upon on no return to prevent fraudulent refund before we shipped to you
Special orders
Special orders cannot be returned. Special orders refer to customised ring or jewellery which was made based on customer’s chosen design and specification.
Shipping charges for return
The purchaser is responsible for all the shipping charges and insurance fees of returning jewelleries.
Colours
We have made every effort to display the colors of our products that appear on Amamijewels.com as accurately as possible. However, as computer monitors, tablets and mobile devices vary, we cannot guarantee that your monitor’s display of a colour will be completely accurate.
Repeated Returns
We offer a flexible returns policy to make your online shopping experience even easier. However, we do monitor the number of returns made and may refuse to accept orders at our discretion if goods are returned repeatedly.
